One of my goals for the New Year is to use my camera more and my phone less. Yes, my phone takes great photos, but I think using a camera feels more fun—more present, more in the moment.

I remember when we had flip phones and separate cameras. I still have my old Canon tucked away somewhere. I took it with me to Israel and on so many of our trips, and I absolutely loved it. There was something special about slowing down, choosing the moment, and capturing it intentionally.

We’ve been having fun with the this tattoo maker lately. The kids love being able to make their own designs, and I love that they’re temporary and easy.
