Hiking shoes I wore straight out of the box for a week long national park trip! So comfy, didn’t need to break them in at all. I usually wear 6.5, I got 7.5 as the REI sales rep recommended sizing up half/full size so it’s roomy (and keeping the laces tight around the ankle for proper support).
