The author of the potty training book (linked here on my LTK) recommends an over-the-toilet potty instead of the stand alone once. We found this one on Amazon and my toddler loves it. He feels secure sitting on it, likes the handles, feels sturdy and it folds up nicely to store away when not in use!

If you want to potty train your toddler and do it right the first time…. Buy this book. It gives you black & white guidelines so it takes the guessing out of it for you! I’ve heard so many stories where it takes MONTHS to potty train bc the parents aren’t fully committed. You literally have to dedicate 3 days but I strongly believe fully committing is the key to success. This book goes over all of that for you!! My 2.5 year old is fully potty trained (with the exception of night time pull ups) and he only had a few accidents during the first weeks of training!
