when it comes to designing bedrooms, we often like to keep the finishes simple in order to introduce color and pattern through furniture and textiles. in the primary bedroom at the #goldengirlscondo, we opted for plain white walls and brought in lots of bold colors and textures through the bedding and artwork. #dwelloctober

have you ever considered converting a standard tub/shower combo into a walk in shower? we made this decision in the primary bath at the #goldengirlscondo to make the unit more accessible and functional for everyday life. we loved this pink starburst pattern cement tile so much that we added it to the outside walls of the shower as well to make even more of a statement. the faux terrazzo tile used on the floor is the perfect complement and adds a bit of texture and sparkle to the space. #dwelloctober

never underestimate the power of a fresh coat of white paint! can you believe that this is the same space? when updating the living room at the #goldengirlscondo, we removed the old bookshelves, allowing the black metal windows to serve as the focal point of the room. next, we painted the walls with our favorite white, @benjaminmoore Chantilly Lace, and swapped out the wood floors for a modern epoxy finish. these simple cosmetic changes completely transformed the space. #dwelloctober

as much as we loved the original mid-century modern vanity and blue bathtub at the #goldengirlscondo, they were damaged beyond repair. we kept the primary bathroom layout the same, but replaced the tub/shower combo with a walk-in shower, and used this bold starburst pattern cement tile to make an impact. we paid homage to the original design by using a maple wood floating vanity, which worked well with the uniquely angled walls in this space. #dwelloctober

the only structural change we made at the #goldengirlscondo was to open up the kitchen in order to make it feel more connected to the living space and to bring in some natural light. we had a lot of fun with the design of this space, using @semihandmade Supermatte Agave Slab cabinets, a fun terrazzo-inspired backsplash from @tilebar, gold finger pulls, and a gold faucet. #dwelloctober

in the guest bathroom at the #goldengirlscondo, we used the same maple wood floating vanity and plumbing fixtures as in the primary bathroom, but opted for a matte black finish. we also used the same terrazzo-look floor tile, in gray…but it was the blue starburst pattern cement tile on the shower walls that really gave this bathroom its own personality. #dwelloctober
