Here’s something we see all the time as personal stylists: “I have nothing to wear” usually isn’t a clothing quantity problem. In fact, some of the fullest closets we walk into are the hardest ones to get dressed from. The problem is usually that there are plenty of individual pieces—but not enough pieces that actually work together. Too many impulse purchases. Too many “almost right” pieces. Too many things bought without considering what was already in the closet. So when getting dressed feels hard, our first instinct is not to tell a client she needs more clothes. We figure out what’s keeping the wardrobe from working. Because a closet with fewer pieces that fit well, work together and support your actual life will serve you infinitely better than a closet packed with things you bought because you liked them individually. The goal isn’t more clothes. It’s a wardrobe that works. And there’s a very big difference. 🤍
