Here are 3 styling rules that make a denim midi skirt look sleek and modern — not costumey 👇

1) Keep the top sleek and fitted. A bodysuit or fitted tank tucked in eliminates bulk at the waist and lets the skirt be the focal point. The more relaxed the skirt, the more intentional the top needs to be. This is the rule that makes or breaks the whole look.

2) Let your shoes do the elevating. A kitten heel sandal, a loafer, or a pointed flat instantly modernizes a denim skirt in a way that a casual flat or sneaker just can’t. Your shoe choice is what separates “effortlessly chic” from “accidentally casual.”
