I found the cutest coastal sweater for spring. I bought a small.

When you need a little spring in your life. These plates do the trick.

If winter feels endless where you live like it’s feeling here, I highly suggest throwing on a pastel, short sleeve sweater and opening up a box of pretty pastel colored plates. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that the cold I’ve had for the past week is finally going away, the temperatures creeping into the 40’s today (a heat wave by New England standards at this point), or the sweater-and-plates combo that did the trick…but something shifted. Sometimes you don’t need a full blown seasonal overhaul. You just need one small, let’s call it hopeful swap. A softer color. A lighter layer. Home decor that makes you believe spring is actually coming. As a homebody who lives by the rhythm of the seasons, I’ve learned this: when the outside won’t cooperate, change the inside. Pull out the pastels. Light a fresh candle. Swap the heavy textures for something breezier. Even if there’s still snow in the forecast. Consider this your permission to decorate for the season you’re ready for…not the one you’re stuck in.

This is the lamp we have: It says it’s sold out, but I’m hoping they restock them online.

Then I saw this on my kitchen shelf and thought, what if I added a stencil to the pot? OMG, in love!!! If you want the link to the stencil pack (comes with stencils, brushes, and stamps) comment STENCIL and I’ll send it to you. Excuse me while I start adding a stencil to everything in our house!

I found the most beautiful stencils the other day so I thought I’d make custom tea towels. I need to order some more paint colors, but I’m loving how this looks! What do think?
