Last night my brother, Chandler, and I made a last minute decision to see Beck in concert. As kids we had strict stipulations on what we could or could not listen to. Those rules were not put in place by our parents but rather by our big brother, Jeremy. He made it his mission to train us to appreciate the music he liked and would make us CDs of Beck, Modest Mouse, Phish, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Grateful Dead, etc. Even though Jeremy could not be with us last night, I know he would’ve been proud to see his music has brought Chandler and me together on more than one occasion. Chan and I may not know what’s on the Top 10, but you can bet we know every song by every artist Jeremy introduced us to over 12 years ago.
