My first time trying Levi's on and I was in LOVE - SO freaking flattering but they do run small. I'm typically a 29 (size 8) in most jeans and went up to the 31 (size 12) in these. I'm 5'9 - the first straight leg pair I'm wearing the 30x30 and the second wide leg pair I'm in the 31x32 and were absolutely perfect so I recommend sizing up two sizes from what you wear in AE or Abercrombie.
