My Gap experience was interesting 🫣 I had NEVER shopped at Gap due to my size. I walked in and the lady told me the children's clothing were that way. I'm guessing she assumed I couldn't fit into any of the clothing there or maybe she was just trying to be helpful. I started collecting my items then a customer made the comment "oh my god, she actually found clothes she can fit into" and I just silently went to the dressing room. It took a LOT of courage for me to walk into that store let alone actually pick clothes out to try. Then on top of it to hear that girls comment and NOT let it get to me. I would have left or gone to the dressing room to cry before. And this is WHY I'm doing this. This is why I post myself in dressing rooms. In clothes that look great, in clothes that don't, in clothes that I'm uncomfortable in, and in clothes I feel great in. If I can be the small voice in your head the next time you go try clothes on and cheering you on to not let the clothes dictate how you feel about yourself afterwards, it's worth the comments from strangers to me. So let this be your sign, don't listen to the comments people make about you. Most of the time it comes from a deep insecurity they are having.
