Headed out on a little “Sunday drive” day date with my man 🍯 after church 💒 to go the @blueridgenps 🌄 to see the gorgeous changing leaves 🍁🍃🍂 with two napping 💤 babes 👶🏼🩵👶🏼 in the backseat!! 🛻🥰 And this cozy rainy ☔️ weather with our hot PSLs ☕️🎃 is what fall dreams are made of y’all!! 🤭🫶🏽 I sure do love this man of mine 😘😍 and this special fall tradition of ours!! 🫶🏽🧡

And once we got up to the parkway 🌳🛻, what do you know… the sun ☀️ came out and it was the absolute most GORGEOUS fall drive with the rays of light 🌞 poking through the leaves 🍁 and illuminating all of the colors 🌈 along the mountain ⛰️ range beyond the clouds!! ☁️ All we kept saying the whole drive was… wow wow WOW! 🤩 God was really showing off 🥰 when he created the Carolinas 🍃 and I sure am grateful to be a born and raised Carolina girl!! 🩵🌾

Once the little ones woke up from their Sunday naps 😴, we picked the perfect overlook 🌄 and it was just the most beautiful autumn Sunday out in God’s Creation!! 🍂🌼 Highly recommend taking a trip up on the parkway… it truly is breathtaking!! 🍁🌾🍃

I spent the majority of yesterday going through both of the boys’ closets and organizing/sorting through their clothes for the upcoming seasons 🍁🍃🌲(& getting the boxes in and out of the attic 📦 sorted out, too 🙌🏽 #momthings )!! 🍂✨ Andddd what do you know….. Judson had the SAME exact pair of his favorite construction 🚧 pjs 🏗️ in a smaller size that we just so happened to find and, after baths late last night 🛁, Judson brought them to me and begged us if “he and bubba could match!!” 🥹 I mean……………. Y’all!! What a sweetheart!! Then post-dinner, we went on a beautiful evening walk at sunset - the best!! 🌅 October nights like this with my boys have my wholeeeee heart y’all!!! 🍂🌄🍁 Oh how we love this sweet sweet season of life so!!! 🥰🌾😍 So much joy and excitement and goodness!!! 🫶🏽🫶🏽 And the leaves are a changin’ 🍃 and signaling the start of a sweet sweet new season ahead for our family with all that’s to come out on our farm!! 🤭🚜🛠️🏡 Thank you, Jesus, for this sweet life!!! 🧡

Like I was telling my mama on the phone 📞 last night, it really feels like this season of living up here in my great grandparents’ old family farmhouse has been such a gift from the Lord (for SO many reasons 🫶🏽 - Wes transitioning jobs and so many exciting things in that area 🛠️, had another baby up here 👶🏼, the list could go on and on lol), but one huge way… connecting me back to my roots so deeply!! 🌳 Where so much of my family history is, where people everyday say “well I knew and loved your mamaw, or your daddy, or so and so” 🥹, and hearing weekly stories from “Grandpa Columbus” 👴🏾 out on the front porch (when he stops to visit and chat 💬) about my Papaw!! 🧡 Only GOD could write a story like this… and so beautiful that our land (the 15 acres the Lord - truly the LORD - blessed us with 🌼) is just a short drive down the road from here and we will get to raise our babies so close out on all that land!! 🌾🌳🍂 Anyhoo, there’s my storytime for tonight - but just so full of awe for how He’s been working and moving in my life and our family’s over this season - and so stinking grateful!!! 🥲
