Up next in my “Emily’s COVID Nesting Project” series: our pantry! Before I tell you about this, let me say: I have switched teams. I have been anti-decanting for many years. But, I started decanting baking staples a few years ago and loved that I could see what we had or needed to restock. So, I dove right in. AND I LOVE IT. We’ve lived in this house for almost two years and, while I consider myself an expert organizer, I couldn’t get the measuring for bins and containers / moving of shelves situation quite right both functionally (to work for our family and how we use this space) and uh... mathematically. :) SO, I hired @thehomeedit for a virtual consultation and worked with Christine. We FaceTimed, measured, and she made a plan for me around what we already owned (as well as a shopping list for what we needed). Functionally, I am thrilled with how it turned out. Plus, it’s pretty. :) And honestly, I think it will stay this way. My kids can grab snacks and drinks on the lower shelves without digging and I think that will help keep things straight a lot. The one tip I have if you’re organizing your pantry is to first edit, edit, edit. You may surprised what you have that’s expired. That frees up space so you can see what you’re actually working with. I linked all the products used here http://liketk.it/2Tps4 with @liketoknow.it #liketkit and will also link in my stories.
