Going through my devotional this morning and came across this verse. Too good not to share and I’m wondering if others need to see it today too!

Here’s the section of my devotional I came across Matthew 6:33 ⬇️

Write a prayer of thanksgiving for the ways God has provided generously for you. If it has been a difficult season of need, write a prayer to share your frustrations, to ask for specific answers for the help you need, and to thank God for the things He’s already given to you.

Today’s devotional is about giving without getting anything in return. About how it’s important to give for the glory of God without expecting anything - a thank you, a favor in return, being paid back, etc.

I can think of a few people in my life who graciously give without expectation of anything in return. Those people are great examples of God’s love! How can we be a blessing to others and give without expectations?! 🤍🙌🏼🙏🏼

He is our great hope.

I read through John chapter 12 this morning and this passage was intense. All of the pain and struggle I’ve experienced in my life - God did not deliver me from it. He helped me glorify Him through it. He brought me to THIS hour for a REASON.

What does that mean?

We go through struggle, pain, sadness etc. for a reason. He does not waste that. He brought me closer to Him so I could experience His true love. So I could experience His light. So I could know that if I chose to live without truly knowing Him that my life wouldn’t be fulfilled. That truly knowing Him has given me peace above all understanding, has given my heart true joy. Truly knowing Him gives me light in the dark days. No matter what I’m going through He is there to help me be strong. To help me have a positive attitude. To help me inspire others.

Inviting God into my heart opened my eyes to so much happiness!

If you’re not sure where to start with a daily devotional - start in John. I started in John and have been reading a chapter or 2 a day. You will truly see Jesus’s heart and understand Him so much more! 🙏🏼🙌🏼☀️
