Here’s my plan to get it done. One small thing a day. Otherwise the undertaking is too big and it feels overwhelming and then gets pushed off and doesn’t get done. Who has all day to work on a project anyway?? I don’t! So instead I said; today is jacks dresser. Here’s what I did! I took 10 minutes and emptied his drawers. Immediately put all things he NEVER wears off the side. Why am I continuously fighting to close drawers and fit it all when he wears the same 6 shirts. It is what it is. I made a pile of duplicates or super similar things, colors we don’t love and anything that wasn’t buttery soft. IYKYK. (What I didn’t mention is I used this same method to get all of my poshmark bins out of his room the other day so his closet is free and clear) I hung up all of his NICE shirts so it’s easy to decipher and they don’t take up real estate in the drawers. Everything closed nicely, has a place and he honestly couldn’t have been more excited! I didn’t even tell him I did it and he came and thanked me and was just too cute. The kids feel it too! He deserves to sleep in calm and clarity as well!! What room should I do next???? Did this help you at all get a grasp on it??? TEN MINUTES!! That’s it!!! Set a timer.
