DIY Wood Mantle 🤎 I built this as a temporary fix before we fully remodel our fireplace next year—and you guys loved it, so here’s how I did it. No power tools (besides a drill). I cut the wood using a miter box and hand saw, used L-brackets to connect the pieces, stained it with my favorite stain, and slid it into place. I recommend screwing it down as well. That’s it. If you have the tools, you can miter the edges—but I actually love it just like this. Part 2 coming soon for the sides.
