Faux Limewash Pedestal DIY ↓ I found this pedestal on FB Marketplace for only $40, and decided to give it a little facelift! This project can be completed in an afternoon & requires basic supplies from any hardware store, or Amazon. Traditional limewash paint is pricey & takes awhile to ship, so I tried to recreate the look using regular paint & was surprised with the result! The key to giving it that gorgeous limewash effect is using a quality masonry brush & MATTE paint. Do not use satin, eggshell, or semigloss paint, as it will look shiny and that’s not the vibe ;) SUPPLIES + Spray primer + Matte White Paint + Matte Beige Paint (I used Folk Art Linen Toile) + Masonry Brush + 2 Paint Trays Everything linked here: HOW TO + Prime your pedestal + Pour each paint into their own tray + Dip into the white, then into your beige, and then apply to pedestal using the same motion you would use with real lime wash paint. Repeat & do as many layers until you achieve you desired result. I personally loved the coverage with one coat. + Seal with a matte sealer DECORATING TIPS + paper mache bowl + neutral vase Would you try this #DIY? ↓
