One of my favorite design principles is functional décor. If you use something every day, it deserves to be beautiful. Fresh flowers on the island. A bowl of fruit that’s always within reach. Olive oil, salt, pepper, and cooking utensils gathered on a tray instead of tucked away in a cabinet. Garden tomatoes becoming part of the kitchen’s color palette. These aren’t decorations added after the fact. They’re everyday essentials, intentionally displayed. The homes we remember weren’t perfect. They were personal. They reflected the people who lived there, the meals they cooked, the flowers they picked up on the way home, and the routines they repeated every day. Beauty doesn’t have to be separate from function. When the objects you use every day are chosen with care, your home begins to tell your story without saying a word. That’s the kind of home I’ll choose every time. 🤍 LTKfoodie LTKHome LTKvlog
