If I’ve learned anything as a designer over these past 4 years it’s that everyone’s personal style is just that.. PERSONAL ✨

I have always been drawn to light blues and more traditional coastal interiors but I let other peoples opinions get in my head

“It’s too colorful!” “It’s going to be harder to sell” “That’s not really the style here”

I honestly had grown to love so many different styles after designing for different clients with differing styles that I muted down my personal style with lots of trendy styles and colors (which I absolutely love to do for clients) but I realized it wasn’t me!

One of the first things I have my clients do is to create a Pinterest inspo board for their space and share with me so that I can pinpoint their true personal as I find repeating elements in pictures they may not even notice they’re drawn to. A lot of times a client will say their style is one thing but their Pinterest board tells me otherwise! Well, all that to say that I was never doing this to myself and realized I was one of those clients who was basically in denial of my interior style so I finally decided to embrace my Southern Traditional Coastal style and I couldn’t be happier!! Every day I come downstairs to my living room, and it brings me so much joy ✨

✨So just remember, your style will be different from your neighbors and that’s ok, in fact, it’s BEAUTIFUL!! ✨

Meet our newest addition to our kitchen…✨These gorgeous Island Pendant Lights ✨

One of the very first thing I noticed about our kitchen when we were walking through for the first time was the kitchen pendants were too small for the space. The scale was off and I felt like this kitchen was begging for some oversized pendants to really complete the space.

I had my eye on these specific pendants for months but couldn’t justify the $2k price tag so after countless hours of scouring the internet I finally found a dupe for about $200 and they are PERFECT!! They bring in a more traditional element in here, warm it up and make the kitchen feel even more grand! I am obsessed!! 🤍

This dining room has been a work in progress ever since we moved in. From swapping out the modern chandelier for a more traditional one to swapping out the table and chairs, this room has looked different almost every day for the past few months. Ha!!

But the biggest difference of all happened when we added these custom French pleat curtains from @unicurt_curtain_ ✨They gave this the finished look that this space had been missing and tied it all together and now it’s exactly what I had envisioned!

I love the look of pinch pleat curtains and love that I could customize these to be the exact size I wanted so that they look more polished and give it that luxe look that I was wanting in here.

✨FAMILY ROOM MAKEOVER PT 2!✨

Lighting is an underrated part of your home that really sets the tone for your space and I knew immediately when touring this house that I would want to swap out all the existing lighting.

Now, don’t get me wrong, it was not terrible, in fact, it was perfect for a mid-century modern home. But after years of finally curating my personal style I have learned that I gravitate more towards transitional coastal style and I wanted my lighting to show that.

And now with these gorgeous chandeliers, I can finally see my personal style in this gorgeous home. We still have a LOOONG way to go to make this house OUR home but I’m loving these small changes that are making such a big impact already!

Next steps will be to swap out our sectional for a mixture couches and chairs to bring the traditional feel back in here and make it feel more homey. And then after that…a fireplace with built-ins!!

Turning Adeline’s nursery into a big girl room was so fun and I love how involved she wanted to be. She picked out the paint color, painted the walls, helped put her big girl bed together and requested I add more flowers! I love every little detail! It turned out perfect for my sweet little 3 year old 🥰
