Day Six: Wearing What I Want — Homestead Edition Some days it’s barn boots and aprons, some days it’s a dress I’ve been too nervous to wear twice. Today, I actually left the farm for my monthly office meeting with Knockout Real Estate (yep, I moonlight as their content gal and I love it). I almost grabbed my usual jeans, but this blue dress caught my eye — the one I wore for my daughter’s graduation over a year ago and then let sit, collecting dust. I always thought it felt too dressy. Not practical. Not farm-enough. Not office-enough. But today, I decided it was enough. I cinched it with a belt, threw on some boots, and headed out the door. Still thrifty, still on a budget, still very much me — but not letting the “shoulds” win. Homestead mom or not, you deserve to wear the dress. Even if it’s just to town.
