Just a mom, trying to get whatever kind of workout in at home. 🤣
Definitely a mom-bod…. Not a fitness blogger bod but I’m ok with that.
So why am I sharing this? Two reasons:
1. If it’s hard for you to want to workout, I get you. So here’s what I do, to trick myself in to it:
- I leave my yoga mat out in my bedroom so every time I walk by if I think “crap, I should workout.”
- I buy cute workout gear. (Clothes, yoga mats, bands, weights, etc.) Well… except that kettle ball. I gotta find a pink one. This bad boy was only $8 at Burlington a few months ago. 🤣
- I tell myself I’m only going to do one small workout, and then I end up doing more.
- I stretch a LOT during it. It feels good and let’s me take a breath. 🤣
So the other reason I share this with you?
2. So you can see that you’re not alone. I lost 20 pounds last year - NOT doing any sort of workout or strength training. It was allll diet related. But now I’m trying to just do SOMETHING. (I don’t think I even do it “right” 🤣 but it’s something.)
I’ve recently put 10 lbs back on from the 20 that I lost last year — and I chalk that up to drinking cocktails and eating Krispy Kreme on vacation last month, AND strength training/building muscle. Is that what it is? I dunno but it makes me feel better. 🤣
