A large piece or two items that help bring weight to the table. I used a large bowl and the beautiful jug vase filled with stems as mine. Create layers and bring in height by the use of books or boxes or other decorative objects you can stack. These books worked perfectly here. Lastly, layer in smaller objects. These help bring in texture, functionality and can help complete the look. The scalloped bowl, candle and wick trimmer were the ideal pieces and functional, too!
