The main difference is the proportions of waist and thighs. Curve love - things have more room compared to the waist (picture in size 29) Regular fit - waist and things are more symmetrical. I lack curves so I preferred this fit on me. These jean shorts are amazing quality and do have some stretch! I recommended going up 1 size from your normal size in these dad shorts.
