Hair breakage! It’s the worst, we all want to avoid it but sometimes it happens. With long hair, it’s the last thing I want to see in my hair and I’m sure you’re the same way. Strong and beautiful hair is the goal of pretty much any girl so I wanted to share a few tips on it...🖤 Hair is made up of proteins so naturally a healthy diet and some collagen highly benefits your hair. If you haven’t heard of collagen, where have you been lady? It’s such a good and easy staple to add to your day!🖤 Heat can cause so much breakage. Blow drying is unavoidable sometimes but please for the love!!! Try to air dry your hair as much as possible. Wind + heat = the worst! Use a heat protectant every single time you apply heat but!!!!! Try not to apply heat every single day. We have dry shampoo ladies, we can skip a few days of styling this way. Oh and turn that straightener down, it does not need to be cranked up to the high heavens. 🖤 You don’t rough house your hair right, right!?! Ok so a few days ago I saw a woman brush her hair on stories and I cringed! She was brushing her hair as if it was about to escape! But really, just be gentle when you brush those tangles out you don’t want to have your hair snap off. When hair is wet, it becomes more prone to breaking so go slow and try not to break that hair off. On another note, I know at some point we have all wrapped our hair in a huge towel after a shower. Well this roughs up your hair like crazy! Use a turbie twist, y’all. This microfiber towelette thingy for your hair is worth the $12.99. 🖤 Some of y’all might come at me on this one but I gotta say it. Do not use the small little elastics for your ponytails. The constant tight grip and pull of your hair is a straight recipe for breakage. 🖤 If you brush your hair and see tiny pieces of hair breaking off, you might need a serious trim. I know, y’all I get it! If you’re trying to grow out your hair, the last thing you want to do is cut off length. I’m telling you if you don’t cut off that damage, it’ll just break off. You want fresh healthy ends, not brittle damaged ends.

I don’t know about you but Mondays usually call for extra coffee and dry shampoo! A few weeks back, I decided to switch to a healthier dry shampoo option. This one is all natural, cruelty free, vegan, paraben free, and phthalates free. A few of y’all had asked before for a non aerosol dry shampoo recommendation so I made the switch! I’m pretty dang surprised at how much I like my new dry shampoo. I will say it took a little to getting used to not spraying it in the hair but rather using my hands. Y’all I love my couches, like for real. Is it dramatic to say they changed my life?🤷🏼‍♀️ I mean, when you decide to invest in a big piece of furniture you gotta make sure you’re ready to be in a long term relationship cause it’s sticking around for years. Many of y’all loved them too and were curious about them. Sooo... we got them from @ashleyhomestore , it took us years to go for it. I had looked for the perfect couch to fit our space and this one is customizable. You can make it longer or smaller by adding/removing pieces. Our couch curves on the right side but that can be changed out to a chase lounge. All the throw pillows came with it which was a bonus for me. #no filter To me my foundation is hands down the most important part of my make up routine! My eyebrows could be a little janky or my mascara a little wonky and I can get over it and go through my day. My foundation though needs to be on the closer side of flawless... like one of my 3 genie wishes would be to have perfect skin so that’s what I aim for. I finally feel like I’ve got the perfect combo! I either use @tartecosmetics shape tape or @hourglasscosmetics liquid vanish foundation depending on my color. I’ve really slowed down on running simply because I’m an outdoor runner and to me the treadmill = death and winter time is here! Last week an older guy in his 70’s started talking to me at the gym and said he had been a runner since he was 12 years old! He ran competitively until recently which got me pretty inspired to get out there again! I’ve been wearing my @fabletics leggings fore a while now and I can say that these are hands down the best leggings I have!
