This fruit picker is amazing if you have citrus, apple, peach, or other fruit trees in your backyard garden. It has a large basket and cushion for fruit so they don’t get bruised. I made the mistake and got mine on Amazon but it was hard to assemble and isn’t extendable like advertised. I would get the ones linked here instead that are a little more $ but worth it since you’ll have this forever!

Fertilize, Water, Repeat!!! A few years ago I forgot to fertilize and deep water my citrus trees and I regret it sooo much because they didn't produce nearly as many fruit as past years! They barely even grew! NOW is the time, while your citrus trees are blooming, to fertilize and deep water!
I recommend getting Arizona's Best citrus food from @homedepot and sprinkling some around the base of your tree + give it a good drink of water! I let the hose run on my trees for about 10-15 minutes until there is a pool of water surrounding the base. I fertilize once every three months or whatever the package recommends + deep water 1/week around this time of year to really get the nutrients down to the roots! I promise, you will thank me later when you're biting into a big juicy orange next year!

HOW TO INSTALL A DIAMOND TRELLIS

I get asked often how we installed our star Jasmine in a diamond shape so I’m reposting this from last year! Hope it helps and happy gardening! 🪴 FYI - in this video it’s a bit tangled due to having to remove it for paint but within a few weeks, it looks much more lush and green

1) MEASURE: You’ll need to know how wide & tall your wall is. For reference, ours is 42’ wide and 6’ tall

2) EYE SCREWS: install eye screws at every bottom, top, and cross point of the diamond.
Each bottom point of our diamonds are 3.5’ apart. We have 11 diamonds total.

3) VINE WIRE: get a sturdy vine wire and thread it through the eyescrews. We cut and used about 7.5 length pieces.

PLANT: install a vine about 10” away from your wall and wrap around the vine wire as it grows. You can also use vine twine/wire to attach and secure any longer stands to the trellis. We used Star Jasmine which doesn’t shed much, is perfect for narrow spaces, and for behind our pool.
