To be honest, I don't know if I’m capable of generating any prideful patriotic feelings this year. I feel grateful for my life and those who give their lives protecting it, but I am angry about what's being done to other communities under the name of the american flag.

Still, throughout the years, July 4th has always been a reason for my friends and family to get together, eat, watch fireworks. And for me, to eat so many hot dogs. So Happy Hot Dog Day 🌭🇺🇸 This year, let's remember the countless (historically and even currently overlooked) people without whom this country could not exist. Let's all do better, and love more!
