had to take the best of both worlds and make this delicious and spooky cupcake cookie combo for halloween. i used the halloween funfetti cake boxes (vanilla and chocolate), frosting, and the classic halloween cookies to put these treats together. not only does this nostalgic looking cupcake look good but it tasted amazing too.

i LOVE holiday baking and i saw this cute idea and had to make it for my fiancé and his friends (and my co workers who got the leftovers) for halloween. brownies with halloween oreo cookies in the middle topped with nutella, crushed oreos, green frosting for vines, and brachs pumpkins. the illusion of a very tasty pumpkin patch !

there is something about reading a good book where the story matches the season. a halloween book in fall, a christmas book in winter (you get the gist.) my latest read was this is halloween by james a. moore, and reading this right around halloween outside where the autumn ambiance, crisp air, ever changing colored leaves, and spooky season surrounded me felt different (in a good way) and i can't wait to do it again and i can't recommend tying your book to the season enough.
