Still have a very poorly little Tabitha on our hands here with the most brutal case of hand foot and mouth that I’ve ever seen 😢 But it wouldn’t be Easter hols without at least one child ill though right?! 😅

Not even joking when I say every day this week I’ve woken up thinking it’s Friday. The relief this morning when it actually WAS Friday 🤪

So happy we’re back in to jacket season, hurrah for spring!

It’s the start of Easter holidays for one child today so next week will be all about the boy and the baby☺️

Marrakech, effortless vibes only ✨🌿

For the most chilled location it required no overpacking, no overthinking – just go-to staple pieces.

Ok maybe I did over pack slightly but I pretty much wore everything.

The only thing I wish I hadn’t taken?

Heels.

There was absolutely no point.
We walked everywhere, mostly 20,000 steps a day, so next time I’ll be ditching them.

Side note - We all dressed to be respectful, covering shoulders and knees when out and about. I took a scarf or blazer out with so I could do this when my outfit showed shoulders. We didn’t get any unwanted attention or looks and never felt uncomfortable or unsafe.

The one place you need to carve out time to visit, is the totally gorgeous, beautifully laid back @beldicountryclub
We did pool and lunch which was exceptionally good value.
There’s a heated pool and unheated one too and millions of loungers tucked away in secluded spots so it never feels busy. The food was incredible too.

I wore my old @boden dress, @palmairasandals sandals which are hands down the most comfortable ever and @monsoon swimwear.

Riad moments vs Souk moments

I can’t quite describe the oasis of calm that a Riad offers. It feels like you’re entirely removed from the hustle and bustle of the busy souks.
Within the medina there’s so much to see, hear and smell that I felt the instant relaxation of coming back to our little oasis was very welcome.

Valentine’s is a bit of a marmite celebration and I have to admit that I’ve been along side the naysayers complaining about the over-commercialism. But this year I’ve been reminded that celebrating each other and life is exactly what we should be doing.

It sent me drifting back through the different Valentine’s Days I’ve had over my 42 years.
Do you remember that teenage hope? Wishing beyond hope for an anonymous card from the boy who’d caught your eye — that tiny confirmation that he might just like you too, and had chosen this day of love to say it. The nervous excitement. The flutters in your stomach when you actually received something.
I remember making handmade cards, trying to pour all my feelings onto paper. I remember him travelling all the way up to Leeds to my student house just to cook steak with a homemade Diane sauce. I still have those cards somewhere. But more than that, I treasure the memories — and how those moments made me feel.

So this year, I shall be celebrating with bells on and I’ll be wearing this fabulous dress to do it, because it makes me feel utterly fabulous.

I think I’ve found the most perfect shorts in the Amoria from @hollandcooperclothing , they’re just the right length and shape to be super flattering. No clinging or bunching and they come in this ticking stripe, navy, creamy white and black. I’m wearing a size 10.
I’m utterly in love with this gorgeous woven Amalfi tote too. I took it with me to the wedding ladened with snacks, sun cream and all the gubbins to keep the children happy the whole day.
