I washed my hair 4 hours before the wedding we went to last night and was able to dry my hair AND braids in under 2 hours with these two dryers. I will always be a neutral/white sofa girl and ain’t no baby gon stop the show! After I announced my pregnancy a few years ago, I got an influx of comments saying that I will regret having a neutral home with a baby/toddler, which was wild! Lol 🥴 (regardless of what I’ve got going on I will keep a tidy home, it’s just my nature) But now that Bean is here and the “teachable 2’s” are in full swing, I’m here to show you that you can very much have your neutral home with a toddler and it will be fine. 🫶🏾 We also have taught Bean the importance of tidiness and he’s quite the little helper himself. Whatever season you currently in, I hope you can still find a way to enjoy the things that make you happy and for me it’s a neural colored home. 🤎

Here’s a breakdown of the items I use daily/weekly to spot clean or deep clean our home:

🫧 Folex - If you don’t keep any other spot cleaning product in your house, get this! It has saved me on multiple occasions and gets out virtually any stain. (I get my bottle from @loweshomeimprovement for about $8)

🫧 @dawndishwash - I love this dish soap, I use it to clean just about everything in my house but I also use it alongside my Folex for extra tough stains (I get mine from either HEB or Amazon for about $6)

🫧 @mrclean Magic Eraser - this eraser gets scuff marks off of virtually any surface, but I have recently started using it to get crayon off of Bean’s play area table (I get mine either from H-E-B or Lowe’s for about $5)

🫧 @bissellclean Lttle Green Machine - this upholstery cleaner is small but mighty, and has been able to get virtually any stain off of any fabric surface in our house. (Ex: we dropped pizza on our beige rug and I just knew that rug was a goner, but it got the stain out 🙌🏾)

The category is: legs! ✨ Okay so I didn’t rewear my closet this go around because I’ve been picking up some closet staples. A white button up hates to see my coming and I scooped this one and my pleated skort from Uniqulo (I also have it in tan) I do have a quick disclaimer: After getting the skirt properly tailored it’s dangerously short so if that isn’t your jam or if you were blessed with more curves it’s gonna be a look a lil spicy! 🌶️ I personally love a mini moment though!

I’m still on my organization kick! I’ve been thinking of a way to organize Bean’s play area a little better and my goal is for all of his toys to have a home. I found this organizer on Amazon and it was perfect! It was tall enough for him to access and fit perfectly in the area. (Since we still have his gigantic trampoline that has lived to see another day lol) As an aside, we do a toy rotation so he doesn’t get overstimulated with too many toys so the rest of his toys live in a closet while not in use so please if you are an aunty/uncle, no we didn’t throw away the rest of his toys and no he doesn’t need anymore! 😅

Another day, another closing! 🏡✨. I am in no rush for summer to end so I’m happy that the weather is still warm and I can continue to wear all of my skirts! I pulled out this oldie but goodie White House Black Market top that I wear at least one a week! I paired it with the cutest pleated skirt (well it’s actually a skort) I recently got from Uniqulo. (I also purchased it in black because if I like something I will definitely purchase it in another color). If you love the skort I’ll have it linked in my stories for you 🫶🏾

POV: Your hair’s dry, your wash day started at 10PM, and now you’ve got showings in the morning 😩

I kept my wash day pretty simple by using affordable products to cleanse my scalp/braids, wash & deep condition, then spent a few hours under the dryer… only to wake up with damp hair and a full schedule 🫠

Fast forward: braid-out’s finally dry, hair curled (only the parts you can see because I’m lazy 😅), and postpartum edges still hanging in there by a thread.

I might’ve used too much heat, but I look cute… so a win is a win 💁🏾‍♀️✨

Hey friends! Around this time last year I was dealing with the WORST acne in my life. (Swipe to see a before and after) Postpartum hormone changes were brutal. I tried all the tips and tricks from the internet which ultimately made things worse until I finally went to a dermatologist. I was able to overhaul my skin and we are back clear again (for the most part). I recognize not everyone has access to a derm and it can get pretty pricey over time so I thought I'd share my derm recommended favorite relatively affordable skincare that helped calm down my skin and fight hyperpigmentation. I hope this helps! Also as a reminder [to myself as well]: No one's skin is perfect. My "after" video was 2 weeks ago and as I type this I have a handful of dark spots on one side of my face now from a bad breakout. Chile if there's one thing I'm going to do it's touch a breakout and cause hyperpigmentation

Hey friends! You might remember that once upon a time I used to post my home updates and finds but that came to a screeching halt when Bean hit the scene. Decorating has been on the backburner for obvious reasons but we are officially back again. Only about 50% of our house is decorated and I'm totally ok with it because I believe that you shouldn't bring anything into your home that you don't 100% truly love. I'm slowly starting to look for larger items for our home again and I thought I found the perfect dresser/sideboard for our primary bedroom. (Spoiler: It's too small). Either way I thought it would still be good to post my process on how I plan before I ever purchase cuz one thing about me, I will blue tape my house down to make sure I can envision our furniture. (I love you @ scotch) While I loved this @allmodern sideboard, it's not long enough, tragic. But if you love it I'll have it linked in my stories. Even as I post this reel my feelings are still hurt.

Nobody listens 😩😂… imagine my surprise when a giant box showed up to our doorstep. I was too impatient to wait for Ricky to come home so 1 hour and 45 mins of assembly later, we are now the proud owners of a giant trampoline. 😅 Now I don’t know how long this is going to last in the house but Bean loves it so far and he’s been getting all of those end of day toddler wiggles out so it stays for now. Thank you to his unhinged Aunty Ashley for the gift.

Jokes aside, if you have the space this is a pretty great gift to get a 2 year old. We have been having so much fun playing together. (Daddy has not jumped with us yet so I can neither confirm nor deny if it will hold up a grown man lol)

The perfect birthday gift for our now 2 year old! 🥹🚲 It’s a balance bike so it doesn’t have any pedals but teaches him the fundamentals of riding a bike. We will skip the tricycle and training wheels and go straight to a 2 wheeler bike after he masters this one!
