What are your favorite places to visit in your own neck of the woods? Staycation - are people still using that? One of our favorite places, about an hour from West Des Moines is Pella. It’s a quaint Dutch inspired village in central Iowa. Every Spring they have the Tulip Festival where they celebrate Dutch heritage in the community with food, a parade, lots and lots of tulips, and much more. I’ve been going to Pella since I can remember, including that time in 6th grade when I got lost. I still don’t understand why the entire group wasn’t stopping to see the clock come to life! (Characters come out on the hour and music plays) Anyhow, if you’re in the area make sure to add Pella to your list. Here are a few pics from our baby friendly visit. Shout out to @smokeyrowcoffee for the affogato and strawberry ice cream. It hit the spot.
