After battling severe PPA and PPD with my first baby, I’m working hard this time to hold on to “me” with a few simple daily non-negotiables :

1. I do my hair and makeup- even if most of the day we’re home. Even if I’m napped trapped 90% of the time and covered in spitup. When I look in the mirror I recognize the woman looking back at me- and it’s a confidence boost!

2. I get dressed- same as above, no matter how much of a homebody I may be for most of the day, I’m in real clothes! Dresses are my best friend postpartum and I think are even comfier than leggings right now!

3. I shower every night- that 15 minutes is a moment to exhale, relax and yep, get rid of the spitup 😂 . Dare I say it might be better than the post-beach shower?!

These simple habits really do help me retain a piece of me while I’m giving everything to my little ones. 🩷
