I took this girl on a walk in the pouring rain today and it was just what I needed. The usually busy trails were quiet. During our stroll, we came upon a group of nine deer- one with new stubby antlers and three fawns. Willow and I stood and stared, and the deer stared back. I listened to the rain as it beat down on my umbrella, I felt the wind on my face, I appreciated the simplicity of nature, and sensed how present we all were.
