Since my account is still pretty new on here and we’re moving into the winter months out of the garden, I wanted to introduce myself as a school counselor and mental health therapist ☺️ I’m an award winning school counselor by day and a boy mom/wife going from sport to sport by nights and weekends ⚽️⚾️🏀🤼 I absolutely love my job, but with a career in education these days comes a reeeeeeally unregulated nervous system. I had to learn in my 30’s how to reshape the way I processed the secondary trauma I faced daily. If I was going to be a healthy wife and parent for my family, I had to find outlets that would bring me peace, while at the same time bringing our family closer together! We lived in Chicago for almost a decade and didn’t have a yard but as soon as we bought our house in Ohio, my peaceful place came to fruition 👩‍🌾 In my spare time you’ll find me in the garden listening to my favorite music with my boys, shopping local, traveling, going on hikes, crafting or reading a good book by the fire, taking care of my plants, hanging with my besties, or just living that homebody dream with the fam and our dog Rocky Balboa!
