love the jelly shoe trend this summer! as a 90s kid, these rhinestone jelly flats would have been everything back in the day! LOVE everything about them. they shimmy, a little stretchy, comfy, flattering shape…

i’m usually a 7 in flats or 7.5 if the flat runs narrow. i find these to be tts and not narrow. my normal 7 worked fine.

comparing two of the most popular jelly flats of the summer! the jam jelly jelly flat by dolce vita and the grove jelly shoe by steve madden. both in my normal size 7. both in the similar mocha colors.

both are beautiful, comfy, nostalgic and around the same price point, but one just stands out a little more for me…

I thought I would have preferred the jam jelly because of the flattering shape and memory foam, but the sparkly grove jelly shoes surprised me!

the steve madden grove rhinestone jelly flats are a little more lightweight and the higher shoe opening helps the shoe be more firm fitting.

both were easy to walk in, but the grove was just a little better imo. the jelly material is lighter, a little more gummy/stretchy and the fit feels more natural to the foot.

I still looove the jam jelly and I plan on trying them in a size small smaller, and the clear color.

We have this little nook in our home that gets the most beautiful natural sunshine throughout the day. We never got around to fully decorating this space, so it kind of turned into a catch all, “amazon box storage” empty space…

But now we are finally creating our whimsical, cozy sunroom. I cannot wait to enjoy a cup of tea on this beautiful red rust, velvet sofa, watch a thunderstorm out the windows, and finally use this space for what it was always meant for ☀️

headed into rose garden survival mode for the summer here in phoenix, az 😮‍💨 here is what i do in order to prepare for beautiful blooms every fall-late spring
Mid June-August

1. survival is top priority. no fertilizer, no rose food…just water. we don’t want to force blooms.

2. deadhead all rose blooms so the energy is put towards root health instead of producing rose hips from spent blooms.

3. no “summer” grass for us. save water for the roses, trees & shrubs.

4. any rose (under a year in my yard) will get extra shade protection. love these little garden umbrellas!

5. cedar mulch + daily water. either before dawn or after sunset.

6. collect seeds from cosmos & snapdragons for the fall. enjoy the zinnias as they thrive in 110° weather lol

7. tell your roses daily, “you’re doing great sweetie” even if they look as if they are hanging on by a thread. they are resilient and will be fine! 💛

Late September -
1. soft prune roses. get rid of any dead/weak canes.

2. feed roses rose tone + alfalfa + salts (linking)

3. continue to water daily. feed monthly (i use the liquid sea weed/fish)

4. slowly watch the life come back to your garden 💛

all jeans are in my normal curve love 26 short, except the ankle straight jeans are in a 26 regular (i find the short too cropped for my liking) and the low rise ultra loose run big, size i sized down to a 25s

my body type: 5’2 ish pear shape. usually a 26 petite.

low rise ultra loose - an unexpected fav! flattering, fun and cool. runs big, so i immediately ordered a smaller size before they sold out.

high rise wide leg - love! chic & flattering. a lil more structured looking than the ultra loose. tts, maybe on the big side

high rise loose - my go to pair. i’ve had these for 3 years now. they are flattering + can be dressed up or down. tts

ultra high rise 90s straight - i’ve had these for 3+ years and i don’t wear them as much these days. the ultra high rise is starting to feel a little outdated and uncomfortable tbh. i do love them in the fall with a heeled bootie though! tts

high rise 90s straight - a little less intense of a high rise as the ultra high rise. i did love these, but not as much as the more relaxed fits. tts

mid rise 90s straight - my everyday pair! mid rise is my new standard! same fit as the ultra and high rise, but mid rise. they fit just below my belly button. i wear this pair of jeans allll the time. tts

high rise 90s relaxed - i personally only love these with a heeled shoe. otherwise, i feel a little sloppy. they aren’t baggy enough to look fun & cool like the low rise ultra loose, but they aren’t fitted and chic like the straight. however, with heels? obsessed! tts

high rise trouser jean - obsessed! perfect for work, going out and casual chic outfits. these run a tiny bit big, but i also think having a little room adds to the style.
