What’s your thoughts on Summer Fridays? • • Okay.. so I decided I’ll carry on with my sustainability posts (if you saw my stories I was going to stop haha) • • It will be on Sunday’s, but I will out in some self care posts as well as I want to incorporate some human sustainability as well. 🤍 • • So to get to it.. let’s talk sustainability & Summer Fridays : 🌍 Ink is from linseed oil (a renewable source) 🌎 Outer packaging is Forest Stewardship Council certified 🌍 They gather and help communities to have cleaner beaches 🏝 🌎 If you email help@summerfridays.com and send a pic of 5 empties, they will send a free shipping label for you to ship back empties for recycling ♻️ in return you’ll receive a Jet Lag mini 🧖🏽‍♀️ (some countries excluded) 🌍 The packaging is made out of aluminium & glass - recyclable ♻️ • • The only thing I would say is that they’ve stated that they use organic sprays and inks ‘making it sustainable’ but we all know that this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s sustainable. Sustainable is a complicated subject! • • Also, their is no information on human sustainability (how do they ensure their is no modern slavery ? ) and no information on inclusivity.. Their Instagram is full of POC 🙌🏽 but that’s just a shop front, what goes on behind? Paid advertisements & PR?
