The “pink phone” has been the one of the simplest, yet most revolutionary things we’ve added to our home in recent years. What amounts to a simple landline gives our girls a feeling of independence and connection without compromising what our family isn’t ready for quite yet. They have delighted in actual conversations with friends, grandparents and cousins. They have learned phone manners. And, yes, they do field plenty of calls from me at the grocery store asking for a status check of certain ingredients! It is a novelty and a convenience our whole family has enjoyed.
