they’re not cheap, but i trust these hair products with my LIFE 👹

i have a lot of thick hair, which is a blessing/curse scenario. yes, she does exactly what i tell her to most of the time, but she requires a LOT of attention 😂 she’s usually well behaved if i do the following:

1) wash with oribe gold lust shampoo and conditioner. (if i’m coming off of a slicked back bun day, i’ll first lather up some ouai detox shampoo for an extra clean feel 🫧)

2) post-shower and pre-blow dry, I spray near the root with IGK good behavior to tame the frizz

3) next, i apply kerastase gloss absolu glaze drops for even MORE anti-frizz. this adds some shine, too. full disclosure: i was originally gifted this product, but it VERY quickly became holy grail status for me, and i’ve used it down to the very last drop.

4) I blow dry with a hot brush. I keep my hot tools VERY simple and just get a cheap brush from TJ Maxx or CVS, honestly. this one’s a CHI that was like $30, but I’ve also burned through a few $18 revlons.

5) If I don’t have the patience for a killer blowout, I add some curls with a wide barrel curling iron to perfect the texture. Again — it’s a cheap hot tools curling iron that I use until the hinges fall off and it’s time to buy again. I’ve been doing this since college and they last YEARS lol. but before I apply any heat, I apply some ouai leave-in conditioner — which is actually a product I discovered a while ago when I stole some from my best friend hahahaha @nicoletteguerino

6) I’ll usually add even more kerastase drops at this point — which is probably how I ended up with a pea-sized amount left 😂

BONUS: flip your hair upside down for volume every time you pass a mirror throughout your day.
