A year in review, except it’s just Emilia and I in our favorite matching Hill House dresses at dance parties (aka weddings) around the world. 🫶🏼

I fell in love with the Pink Pimlico Floral pattern upon release, and when a friend requested we wear ‘sunset colors’ for her wedding I knew this pattern in the Matilda style would be perfect.

Just a bonus that my mini could (and wanted to) match in her own Tiny Ellie. 🥲

To keep it sustainable and budget-friendly, we rewore these to four separate weddings—and will continue to break them out as long as they fit, before passing by them on to their next owners.

Friendly reminder that it’s outdoor laundry drying season! Save energy and extend the life of your clothes by hang drying what you can outside.

Although it takes a few minutes longer than simply tossing everything in the dryer, with the electric costs these days we’re happy to make the swap spring through fall and dry what we can outside. We’re lucky enough to live somewhere rain and humid aren’t big issues so that helps too.

In the winter we continue to use our racks for drying in the garage, it just takes a bit longer.

The item I was most excited to bring back out for baby no. two is our Nestig Wave Crib! It transitions from an adorable mini crib / bassinet to a regular crib and then toddler bed as baby grows.

The mini crib has been perfect to keep baby bedside and within reach for nighttime wakes. We also liked the crib for when our daughter was bigger, and haven’t tested out the toddler bed function yet but will soon! Similar style cribs have been tagged since we feel strongly both about the design and convertible crib functionality.

It’s been important to us to keep all things baby as low-tox as possible, so we love that it’s also GREENGUARD Gold Certified. For mattresses, we went with the nontoxic Naturepedic Organic Classic Lightweight 2-Stage Baby Crib mattress and have been really happy with it.

Pictured is the Nestig Whirl Sheet Set made with organic cotton from their past collaboration with Tan France. The sweet bear is Steiff and was a gift from our family in Germany, so similar ones have been tagged.

Christmas with a 22-month old was so special. Here are a few of her favorite gifts she received! These would also make great 2nd birthday gifts for a toddler.

The Toniebox was for sure the big winner—she loves the starter puppy Tonie it came with that plays classic songs, and we got a few more for her to try out. We also love it because family in Germany could send ones in German for more language learning opportunities!

She’s getting really into building so the Lego Duplo set was the perfect next step. They’re the ideal size and difficulty level for her and we can continue to add more sets as needed.

And lastly, from family we received the Lalo tent conversion kit to transform the play gym we had from them into this adorable tent! She loves hiding away in there and we love having somewhere to keep her toys tucked away.

Sharing my three favorite items for baby sleep as a second time mom! Hope it helps because we missed a few of these when first building our registry and had to run to Target almost immediately. 🙈

We’ve loved our Hatch Rest 2nd Gen not only for the sound machine function but because it becomes a great red light for navigating nighttime feeds!

The VTech DM221 Audio Baby Monitor was a recommendation from a friend and has been extremely reliable. It’s so good we ended up never needing a monitor with video function—the radio is enough!

And finally, as terrible swaddlers the Halo Sleepsack Swaddles have been a godsend. There are different weights to choose from depending on how hot or cold it is and you can keep arms in or out as baby likes.

I recently started using the Five Minute Journal from Intelligent Change and it’s helping me love journaling again! The morning and evening prompts are simple but effective, so even a busy mom like me can usually fit them in.

This book comes in a ton of different colors but I love this one with a white linen look and feel. Whether for Mother’s Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, a birthday or just because, this would be a great gift for anyone in your life looking to improve their mindset.

Our first month with little man has flown by! Although still exhausted, we’re definitely able to enjoy the newborn stage more the second time around.

These pajamas are from the Pottery Barn Kids Where the Wild Things Are collection (a great find by grandma). The organic cotton is super soft for baby and the print couldn’t be sweeter.

My only wish is that it had a double zipper instead of only opening from the top, but for such cute pjs we’ll live!

Next up on the Baby Registry Essentials list : this snuggle me organic nursing pillow!

We’re using ours with kiddo #2 now and I’m more in love with it than ever. Its shape makes it versatile no matter where I’m feeding and the high quality of materials gives me peace of mind.

We have two covers for ours and also lay burp cloths on it if it’s a particularly big day so we don’t have to wash it quite as often. When we have had to wash it though, it’s held up well.

Of course this is key for the newborn stage, but with our first we continued to use it for almost our entire breastfeeding journey (12+ months). Let me know if you have any questions!

When it comes to new babies, you can never have too many burp cloths at the ready! These ones from Burt’s Bees are our favorite.

From when our daughter was born to now with our son, it seems they’ve changed slightly but we like the newer version even better. Super soft organic cotton, absorbent and easy to clean.

Every baby is different, but at the moment we have about 25 cloths in total which seems to be a good number for us. However, to go another day without doing laundry more would always be useful.

So in love with our December boy. 🤍

I couldn’t wait to break back out our Snuggle Me Organic Infant Lounger for little man to lay in. It’s great to have another safe space to set our newborn down so we have a minute to be hands-free for something—or just for baby to rest beside us for a bit!

The lounger was on our registry when we had our first and made for a wonderful gift. The cute Carter airplane pjs and sweet knit blanket were also memorable gifts from loved ones. Forever grateful for our village. 🫶🏼

Forty weeks, three days, and still (semi) patiently waiting to meet you.

A few key maternity pieces have been essential this pregnancy, since with baby no. two I started showing earlier and was more sensitive to tight bands than before. This top from Quince and jeans from Seraphine have been great for both casual, work and more upscale outings.

While the top I purchased online, with the jeans I knew my size so I found them on Poshmark instead for a better price. Since I won’t be wearing them forever, going second hand where I could for maternity apparel helped!

$A moment of appreciation for our Chicco Corso that has traveled the world with us. We’re in the final days of prepping for baby number two, but have loved every minute of using the Chicco Corso Primo ClearTex Travel System for our first. It’s been great for both quick trips around the block and our bigger adventures across the country and even to Europe this spring. The car seat clips in so easily and our daughter has loved the stroller seat—while we’ve loved how easy it is to drive. The other two big selling points for us were the high safety rating of the car seat and the fact that the stroller and car seat are GREENGUARD Gold certified—for a fraction of the price of other brands. When traveling with it, we typically use some combination of the tagged items, depending on the weather and which pieces we’re taking with us. Overstock Outdoor Furniture: What I Bought vs. What I Got

We purchased these teak Adirondack chairs from Overstock this spring and they’ve been such a nice addition to our backyard! We did apply teak oil before using and it’s helped them hold up well. Plus the convertible cup holders are ideal for outdoor lounging!

Overstock Outdoor Furniture: What I Bought vs. What I Got

We ordered this outdoor dining set from Overstock this spring and absolutely love it—it’s been the perfect addition to our deck this summer and great for entertaining groups of any size! We did apply teak oil to the wooden parts and it has held up well. Also the chairs arrived fully assembled which saved so much time. 🙏🏼
