Now that we’re into true October I added a bit more color and some pumpkins and it is feeling very festive! These pumpkins were bright orange and a few years old so my daughter I spray painted them gold this weekend with some Rustoleum and I love how they turned out! Such a simple and inexpensive DIY with a big impact!

It only took me 2.5 years of living here to finally hang some pictures in the stairway! I’m loving these frames from @westelm - they are really substantial and well made. I have a few other sets going up around the house to finally make it look like “real people live here” as my hubby said recently 🤣 So far, definitely recommend!

Do you have a particular spot you struggle with decorating? Even for people that love decorating and do it all the time, there are still those pesky areas. Mine is my mantle! 😂 But my sweet friend brought me this perfect fall copper sign and my mama gave me this wooden beaded garland (both for my birthday last week) and they were just what I needed! Keeping the mantle simple this fall, but already thinking about what kind of garland I should get for Christmas 🤣 Just me?!

Neutral Fall Entry Table - here’s the full look at the entryway table. I kept it neutral here even though I have some richer colors other places in the house. I like to have a balance of both. If one zone of the house is a bit richer, I like to offset that with a softer area. But there’s nothing wrong with sticking to what you love. If you love all neutral, do that and if you love all the oranges and reds of fall do that! There is no wrong answer. I just like a bit of both!

We have had so many good family meals in this spot since we got it set up. I can not recommend making your main family dining space a cozy and inviting space enough. It’s a place we all want to be and makes it comfortable enough to linger for more conversation and more memories. 💕 Now I just need to decide what to hang above the table. Yesterday was our 10 year wedding anniversary. Hard to believe! This fall update is sweet and simple. This entryway bench gets a lot of daily use. It’s right outside our mudroom and acts as an extension, a place to put on or take off shoes or for guests to drop bags and jackets in the fall. So just an easy swap out of colors in the pillows and another one of these beautiful copper colored pillows from @worldmarket that are so pretty and so affordable!

✨Kitchen Nook Reveal ✨ This may be my favorite project ever!! It’s always been my dream to have a cozy kitchen nook. Drinking coffee over leisurely breakfasts, playing games around the table with family, a glass of wine with a good friend. Can’t wait for all the memories we’ll make in this spot! There are a few things I still want to do to finish it off - some art and some shelves I’ll show you soon but we are loving this space so far. We’ve been putting it to great use already for family dinners and virtual learning. This will probably be the most used spot in the whole house!

This year I’m staying true to my neutral vibe with my fall decor but incorporating a little more of another color I already had in my home and love - copper! I’m loving how it’s coming together naturally in the kitchen and this new fall wreath is really helping tie it together. You don’t have to change up your whole decor theme just because it’s a new season. It can work in with just a little touch here and there. Or, if you love a big change then go for it! The point is, do what you love with decor. It’s your home after all!
