I’m rebuilding my wardrobe slowly and on purpose. Here’s what made the cut recently ⬇️

Since having my daughter, I’ve been more intentional about what I bring in. Not perfect - intentional. Every piece has to work with what I already own, get reached for regularly, and feel like me during this season of life, not a version I once was.

Most things in this outfit have been in my wardrobe for years. The bag, called the Marina Soft Bucket (kindly gifted from OLEADA) is new, and the reason I said yes to it is the same reason I’d keep anything else - it fits my actual life. It goes with everything I own, holds what I need it to hold, and I’ve already reached for it everyday this last week.

The “nothing to wear” outfit formula ✨
When nothing feels right, I go back to this every time:

1️⃣ Start with a natural fibre sweater - wool, cashmere, cotton. They just look more expensive and feel better on the body. Bonus if there’s added detail like the half zip on this sweater.

2️⃣ baggy dark wash jeans - dark denim is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. To me it elongates and slims, and makes everything look intentional.

3️⃣ a jacket that matches the tones of your shoes - this one trick makes the outfit look put together without trying.

4️⃣ accessorize - a bag, a hat, a scarf. Just pick two or three and you’re done.

This formula works because every piece is easy but also doing a job - nothing is random.
