I don’t think homes were ever meant to be rushed.

Bring back the hunt. The knowing you want something for a space, but not quite knowing what it is yet. Walking past it a hundred times waiting for the right thing to find you.

This is the fourth rug I’ve tried in this room. The others worked. But when I saw this one by @joonloloi x @heidicaillierdesign , I just knew.

It was meant for this space 🤎😍

I think we lose a little bit of the magic when we’re so focused on getting to “finished.”

So here’s to empty corners, blank walls, changing our minds and waiting for the thing that makes us ridiculously excited.

After the window trim fiasco I needed some dopamine DIY and this DIY cushion did not disappoint 😍

Can you believe I used a tablecloth for this? It worked perfectly and the colors matched the walls so well. Day 13 of finishing every room I abandoned was a good one.

Next up, finishing the window trim and making the final decision on paint for it.

If you’ve ever tiled anything, you know how messy thinset can get. When I found out there’s a double sided tape made for tile I had to try it!

Spoiler: it’s strong, clean and 100% mess to magic approved ✨🪄

When God sent me a provider so I could be a SAHM, he must’ve laughed knowing I’m still going to attempt to do everything else myself 🛠️💅🏼

Nick’s working 12-14hr days, and I’m over here in my contractor era — leveling cabinets, watching YouTube tutorials, and struggling to actually finish a single one.

But honestly, I’m proud of it. I love making our house a home — cheers to one DIY, one mess, one “babe don’t look at the receipts” project at a time. Next, we’re building countertops!
