Slowly starting to build this year’s Halloween boo baskets 👻 Jade spotted this little bat and HAD to have him, he was already on my shortlist, so I ordered for both of them. I also decided to bring back a hobby I loved in my teens/early 20s: cross stitching! I love the idea of working on these little projects while I’m resting and making something special for each of them. Jade’s first little skincare routine 🖤 She’s eight now and entering that little tween stage, so I wanted to start teaching her some simple habits early and make skincare feel like something easy and fun to keep up with.

Consistency with skincare has always been such a struggle for me. I never really built the habit when I was younger, and apparently teaching an old dog new tricks is harder than it looks 😅 So I’m hoping this is something we can learn and grow into together.

I kept her routine really simple with a gentle Cetaphil cleanser and Aveeno Kids face + body gel cream, both from Amazon, then made it feel a little more special with matte black glass dispensers, custom labels, a Canva routine print, and the cutest headband + wristband set.

A sweet little setup for her first routine, and hopefully the start of a habit we can both get better at together. Linking everything I used here.

Jade’s back-to-school basket 🖤 spooky season is basically her whole personality, so of course her school picks ended up very black, white + Ghostface.

Ghostface backpack + lunch bag, flare jeans, her first pair of Nikes, black + white check water bottle, and a dishwasher-safe bento box.

I did originally have a little black tee to go with the jeans, but after exchanging the jeans a couple of times I somehow managed to send the shirt out of town in the bag with her stuff 😂 so we’re working with what we’ve got.

Very Jade. Very spooky. Very much her mama’s girl.

My little Marketplace pickup system 🤎

I only offer porch pickup, so once a buyer confirms, I package everything in a paper bag with a personalized name tag. It makes the pickup feel a little more like receiving a gift than just grabbing a Marketplace purchase.

I leave it on the porch and send a photo so they know exactly where to find it. I accept cash under the mat or e-transfer, which means I don’t have to coordinate meeting times or worry if someone is running late.

It’s a simple system that’s made Marketplace pickups so much easier, and buyers can reuse the bag afterward too.
