a quick tutorial on how we achieved this look in our breakfast nook ✨ (disclaimer - we are not DIY experts but we do love to save 💰 where we can) bur first, FOLLOW @homewithstephannie on IG STEP BY STEP: 1. We started off my choosing my moulding, I used WM 163 - 11/16 in. x 1-3/8 in. Primed Finger-Jointed Base Cap Molding from @homedepot 2. We cut the pieces based off our wall measurements, I went with what I thought looked best. I went with 5 inches all around - (this is the spacing from the floor, sides, between boxes and ceiling). We measured the wall width, subtracted the spaces and divided it by the number of boxes I wanted. In my case we did the middle box bigger so I measured that one first and then decided the size of the side ones. (this is hard to explain in writing) You can use an online moulding calculator 3. Then, we cut 45 degree angles using a miter saw and attached the pieces to the wall with a nail gun. 4. After that we caulked all the edges & filled the nail holes. We waited 1 full day before sanding and then painted! 🎨 IVORY BROWN by @valsparpaint . . . . . . . . . . . . . . homedecorinspo studiomcgee targethome targethomedecor interiordesign amazonhome diyhomedecor homedecor mcgeeandco modernorganic easydiy neutralhome neutralhomedecor targetstyle mypotterybarn transitionaldesign neutralstyle diytutorial homerenovation accentwall diyhomedecor
