14 years ago we didn’t know if we’d be able to have kids. We were newly married, Lance was out the door at 5am every morning to grow his Lawn and Pest Control business and picked up a mowing route for extra cash. We went through 7 rounds of failed IUI’s and I was stressed and taking it out on my 1950’s bathroom tile instead of studying for nursing school finals. The month we decided to stop IUI’s and save for IVF, we magically got pregnant on our own. We bought a lot to build our “dream house” only to end up in a lawsuit and losing the house and scrambling to buy something while 7 months pregnant and living in my mother in laws basement. Then Bennett was 4 months old and I found out I was expecting another! A few years later we had Harper in a scary high risk delivery at 32 weeks. I was in the thick of motherhood with 3 kids 3 and under and we bought our third house and days after moving in we started home projects to add bedrooms, bathrooms and a yard for the kids. And one day we felt like we should have another. A 6 year gap between Harper and Jamison followed by some of the most challenging times in our personal life, has brought us here today. We worked hard to start a family, worked hard to build a home for our family, and worked hard teach Bennett how to smile 😆. I couldn’t be prouder of these people and who they are becoming. it’s had its ups and downs, but I’m so grateful for the lows that taught me to truly appreciate the highs—and the people I get to share them with. Our amazing friend and photographer @lauracollardphoto does the best job capturing our family. These were taken at Manning Orchard in Kaysville 💚
