Most of the rugs I've chosen are made from natural materials like wool or cotton, while a few are polypropylene in spaces where I wanted something especially durable and easy to maintain. No matter the material, I tend to gravitate toward subtle patterns, soft texture, and timeless colors that work with my home's cozy, collected style. They've held up incredibly well to everyday life with kids, three dogs, and all the messes that come with a busy home. Ignore that the bed doesn’t have a duvet cover, but this photo was too cute not to share. I just walked out the old rug for this new wool rug and it’s so pretty. I love the grounds the space and adds texture. In our guest room I opted for furniture that maximizes storage: a storage bed that lifts up (underneath is filled with seasonal pillows and our extra bedding), extra large dressers that are perfect for storage the little extra things. I usually take my three goldendoodles to the groomer, but this has been perfect for the in between 🫶🏼 I’ve been using the Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day 3 in 1 Dog Shampoo and the Dog Deodorizing Spray in Sweet Chamomile. The shampoo cleans, conditions, and deodorizes in one step (which makes quick baths so much easier), and the spray is my go-to for a fast refresh after they’ve been outside.
