❤️ Fish maw is known to promote youthful skin, boost immunity and aid digestion!

INGREDIENTS

5 Dried Fish Maws
5 Red Dates
Handful Goji Berries
1 Whole Chicken - cut into 4 pieces
1 Ginger
1 Kombuca Squash
3 Carrots
Add salt as needed

🐠 Fish Maw Preparation

Using a neutral oil, fry the fish maws until they puff up completely. Then soak them in water overnight in the fridge so they will soften. Make sure to put a plate over the fish maw when you soak them so the fish maw does not float. Chop them up into 2-3 inch chunks.

🥕Golden Mixture Preparation

Steam the chopped squash and carrots till they’re soft. Place in blender, add some water and let blend till it liquifies.

🐓 Soup Preparation

Blanch the chicken pieces in hot boiling water for 15 minutes and rinse them in the sink to remove any impurities. In a new pot of water, drop the chicken pieces, sliced ginger and red dates and let it boil and simmer for 2-3 hours. Make sure to break down the chicken parts and smash the dates in the pot after an hour, so the chicken meat flavor gets immersed in the soup.

After boiling the chicken soup for at least 3 hours, drop the fish maw, goji berries and golden mixture (a blend of squash and carrots) and boil for at least 30 minutes. Add salt as necessary.

CAJUN SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- 2 tbs paprika
- 2 tbs white pepper
- 2 tbs thyme
- 2 tbs oregano
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 3 cups grapeseed oil
- 1 butter stick
- 2-3 cups blended garlic
- 2 tbs chicken bouillon
- Add salt if needed

SEAFOOD BOIL INGREDIENTS (add more or less - whatever you prefer. I got all my seafood from @costco Wholesale )
- 5 lobster tails
- 2 dungness crabs
- 1 sausage
- 3 corn
- 7 potatoes
- 1 lb shrimp
- 2 lbs clams
- 3 lbs mussels

Boil all the ingredients in the seafood boil. I like to boil the potatoes first (since they take longer to cook), and then boil the rest together if you’d like - the rest take a shorter amount of time to cook.

Note: For the clams, I recommend soaking them overnight in water to remove all the sand and impurities. For the mussels, soak in water for about 20 mins.

EASY SEAFOOD PAELLA RECIPE 🦐 Feeds at least 8 people

Ingredients
1/2 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
5 minced garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
12 peeled & deveined shrimp
6-8 clams
Pinch of saffron
1 tsp tumeric
1/4 lb squid
1/4 cup frozen peas
4 cups bomba rice (or use Uncle Ben’s rice)
8 cups chicken stock

Add oil to the pan, and sautee onions, garlic, bell peppers till it softens. Add saffron, bay leaf and pepper and sautee for a minute. Add rice and pan fry for a few minutes. Add chicken stock and tumeric. Let the mixture boil at medium heat till water evaporates halfway. Add the shrimp, clams, squid and peas - and let them boil for a few minutes uncovered. Then turn off stove, cover the pan for 1 hour to let the seafood cook through and rice fully absorb the reminder of the liquid.

For the rice, paella is traditionally cooked with Bomba rice, but if you can’t find this type of rice, I have used Uncle Ben’s rice which is just as good.

For the pan, I used @lecreuset because they are great for sauteeing and keeping the heat inside the pan when covered
