I made this THREE years ago you guys and I’m still getting it out every Halloween. 😂 It is honestly still one of my absolute favorite Halloween DIYs I’ve ever done. Here’s exactly what I did: 1. Spray paint the pumpkin with a matte spray paint + primer in one. 2. Mix a little baking soda into paint and brush it on for that rough, aged texture. Let it dry completely. 3. Mix dirt with a little water and rub it generously all over the pumpkin. Let that dry too. 4. Once dry, use a soft bristle brush to brush off all the loose dirt and excess. 5. Finish with a matte clear coat to seal it. Mine has been outside for three years on a covered porch that does occasionally get wet. I’ve touched up a few little spots, but it has held up SO well. My exact pumpkin isn’t available anymore, so I’m linking a couple different options you can use. Unfortunately, the price of these giant pumpkins has basically doubled since I made mine 😭 but they are SUCH a statement and still so worth it. Save this one because it’s way easier than it looks. 🎃
