Tip numero 1) If you’re doing this in a kids bathroom, absolutely make sure you install the NextStep2 potty-training seat by @bemistoiletseats - we have one in all of our bathrooms and it’s hands down the most aesthetic way to get through the toddler years. The discrete seat magnetically secures to the cover when not in use so that it doesn’t need to be removed for different people and is so easy for kids to use on their own (it never slams or pinches, closes slowly, and is made with eco-friendly materials). We’ve loved ours for years! Tip numero 2) use these peel and stick tiles for a budget friendly way to quickly transform your outdated space! They’re super affordable, easy to use, and I grouted mine to make them even more realistic. Make sure you’re following along for all the updates and don’t forget to comment your guess on how long you think this whole thing will take - closest guess at the end gets a surprise from me!! So far we’re at 7 hours and 3 minutes for cutting in and doing two coats of white paint (top portion of room), installing all the peel and stick tile, and grouting! Low-budget bathroom makeover: cost, info, and sources…comment BATHROOM for all links! There were a few things I didn’t need to purchase that I already had (scrap wood for accent wall, paint primer, etc) but every dollar spent and minute I worked on this project over the last couple weeks totaled $549.23 and 26hr 09mins. You could do it much faster if two toddlers aren’t *helping* you, but this is their bathroom so we did it all together ❤️ I have a project highlight on my feed that is JAM PACKED with tips if you’re tackling a project like this!
