I’ve been eyeing this positive reinforcement reward system from Amazon and finally decided to snag it for Luca. We’ve been using a different toddler reward chart for him, but I like that this one gives him something tangible (the star tokens) to earn vs. us just marking a chart with dry erase marker. I feel like it’ll be more exciting for him, as will the visual of filling the jar to the top! Our 3 year old is dealing with some BIG feelings these days, so I snagged this book series off Amazon to try and help. It’s called Team Supercrew, and it’s SO cute. Essentially, it’s rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy and it’s designed to help kids learn how to regulate their emotions in a positive way. I’m excited to add these tools to our toolbox as we try to navigate this stage — it’s been HARD. 😅 But I keep reminding myself it’s just that — a stage. This, too, shall pass! Anyways, I wanted to share for anyone else dealing with big toddler feelings. Maybe these will help? I’ll be sure to report back!!

Today’s toddler activity was fun, easy, mess free, and didn’t require much clean up! 👏🏼 This kept Luca busy for a solid half hour, between picking rocks and painting the rocks. That’s really good these days, haha! Creating festive holiday toddler tables, like this 4th of July table, is something I always dreamed of doing as a mom! I’m a simple person, but I definitely like making the little things feel extra special…and this is one of the ways I do that. Checked another activity off of our summer bucket list and had a water balloon fight this weekend! These reusable “water balloons” I found on Amazon are so much better than the OGs. They’re soft, and they won’t leave any debris/choking hazards behind. They’re super absorbent, which the kids love, but they dry fast too (just wring them out and set them in the sun). These make for great for backyard entertainment for kids of all ages. Linking my exact here as well as some other options.

I’ve been wanting to do more learning activities with Luca, but I honestly just don’t have the time or energy to find solid activity ideas, buy all the materials, and execute. 🙃 So I got this toddler learning box delivered to us! Outdoor play house building is not for the weak. 😮‍💨 But seriously so excited for this KidKraft playground 🛝 to be complete.
