Working on some fine motor skills with Parker today! We had these rubber ice cube trays that we weren’t using so I brought them out and realized that the Melissa & Doug wooden square blocks fit perfectly inside! Parker and I turned it into a game filling all of the ice cube spots with the wooden blocks. I made sure to praise him every time he was able to put a square in, and the times he would get frustrated I explained how it’s okay to be frustrated & we will try again. I’m trying to not help him when he gets that way, but be more of a support system and empathize with his emotions while he figures it out.
