The endless circle of missing the mark. For me, the hardest part of my #growth in the last couple of years was this exact cycle. Realizing that I knew better and was continuing not to DO better and then trying to do better but then when it didn’t hit the target, beating myself up profusely for it. Whew! Both ends leaving me outside of God’s will. Also, both showcasing attributes that are not like Him.

#Accountability can feel like a sharp rod to the butt at times, and honestly some of us need that. I had gotten so far gone in only doing what I wanted to do and when, that any sort of #correction felt like a violation or attack.

What I had to understand, was that the Word does feel like a sharp rod when you’ve been so outta line that God has to pop you with it to get your attention. Also, I can be a bit dramatic at times so to God it was only a soft nudge in a righteous direction but to me I’m fallin’ out and thinking my life is over 🤣 (because highkey- it was. Read Romans 6:4)
